Dent repair in Antalya is carried out at our workshop in Kepez Akdeniz Sanayi industrial estate as painted bodywork repair: sheet metal is straightened, body filler and primer are applied, and the panel is painted in an oven-baked booth. Minor damage is usually completed in 1–3 days. We do not do paintless dent repair (PDR); when a dent also damages the paint or is large, painted repair is the right method.
How is dent repair done?
A dent is an inward collapse of sheet metal. Repair involves restoring the metal as close to its original shape as possible, smoothing remaining imperfections with a thin layer of body filler, and repainting the panel. We handle this process from start to finish under one roof in our workshop.
- AssessmentThe depth of the dent, whether the metal is stretched, and cracks in the paint are inspected.
- DisassemblyTrims, handles, emblems on the panel, and if necessary the interior trim, are removed.
- Sheet metal straighteningThe metal is brought back as close as possible to its original shape. Most of the quality here depends on the craftsman's skill.
- Body filler and primerRemaining imperfections are smoothed with a thin body filler, sanded, and primer is applied.
- Paint and clear coatWith digital color matching, PPG or Standox paint is applied in a dust-free oven-baked booth.
- Assembly and inspectionParts are reinstalled; panel gaps and color are checked in daylight.
Send a photo of the dent, and we will provide an initial quote and turnaround time. Assessment at the workshop is free.
Do you offer paintless dent repair?
No. We do not provide paintless dent repair (PDR) services; we only perform painted bodywork repair. The paintless method is a separate technique used for small dents where the paint has not cracked, requiring different equipment. Knowing this upfront will save you time if that is what you are looking for.
We explained the differences between painted and paintless repair and which is suitable for each type of damage in our article on dent repair: painted or paintless? In short: if the paint is cracked, the dent has a sharp crease, or the sheet metal is stretched, painted repair becomes necessary.
Dent repair prices
Dent repair price is not a single figure; the size of the dent, the panel, and the effect on the paint differ for every vehicle. In painted repair, the price consists of two items: sheet metal labor and panel painting. The owner-confirmed ranges for panel painting are as follows:
| Panel | Paint price range | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Door | 3,500–6,000 TL | 1–2 days (minor damage 1–3 days) |
| Fender | 4,000–7,000 TL | 1–2 days |
| Hood / roof | 5,000–10,000 TL | 1–2 days |
| Bumper | 2,500–5,000 TL | 1–2 days |
Because dent repair requires additional labor, the final figure is clarified during an assessment based on the extent of damage. Sending a photo is sufficient for initial information. All panel-based figures are on the panel painting prices page.

Car door dent repair
Door dents are among the most common types of damage: an adjacent vehicle's door in parking lots, a shopping cart, or a tight garage wall. The double-layered construction of the door (outer panel and inner frame) makes straightening difficult. To reach behind the outer sheet metal, the door trim and window mechanism sometimes need to be disassembled.
After repairing a door dent, blending into adjacent panels may sometimes be required for color matching, not just painting the door itself. This is one of the factors affecting the price.
Why do dents happen, and how can they be prevented?
Most dents occur while parked: an adjacent car's door, a shopping cart, a curb, or hail. After hailstorms, dozens of small dings can appear on the hood and roof; in this case, the panel must be addressed as a whole rather than fixing each spot individually. In accident-related dents, the impact can affect not only the outer sheet metal but also the mounting points behind it.
To prevent dents, choosing spacious parking spots, installing protective edge guards on doors, and staying away from areas with shopping carts help. If a dent still occurs, getting an assessment without delay prevents damage from worsening.

Dent repair or panel replacement?
Not every dent can be repaired. If the sheet metal is torn, a sharp crease cannot be straightened, or the panel is stretched and thinned, replacement yields a more durable result. In replacement, the new panel is painted and installed.
- Repairable: Medium-depth, rounded dents, provided the sheet metal is not torn or stretched.
- Replacement recommended: Metal tears, sharp crease lines, multiple severe dents, and rust perforation.
- Spot repair painting: If there is no dent and only minor paint damage, spot repair painting may be sufficient.
What does bodywork repair (local damage) mean?
Bodywork repair means fixing damage that occurred on only a single area of the vehicle: a door, a fender corner, or an edge of a bumper. "Heavy repair" involving major collisions and chassis damage is different. With local damage, the goal is to keep the bodywork scope small, limit painting only to the necessary panel, and preserve vehicle value. For damage affecting the entire vehicle, you can check our bodywork repair page.
Tip: If there are cracks or bubbling in the paint around the dent, do not delay the repair. Moisture penetrating through cracks triggers rust underneath, making the problem worse.
Will body filler be thick after straightening?
In proper dent repair, body filler is only a thin finishing layer. A dent covered with thick filler without bringing the metal back to shape may look smooth initially, but over time the filler cracks, bubbles, or shows marks beneath the paint. That is why the metal must be straightened as thoroughly as possible and filler kept to a minimum. Checking panel filler thickness with a gauge is also useful when buying a used car.
When leaving your car at a workshop, ask the craftsman these questions: Will the metal be straightened, or just covered with body filler? If panel replacement is needed, why? How will the paint be applied? The answers reveal the quality of work.
What should you check upon delivery?
- There should be no waves on the panel surface or distorted reflections in light.
- Panel gaps (door-to-fender, hood-to-fender) must be symmetrical.
- There should be no shade difference compared to adjacent panels in daylight.
- Trims, emblems, and door handles must fit securely in place.
For the complete list, you can check our paint delivery checklist page.
How to get an initial quote with photos?
Send photos of the dent taken from a distance, close up, and from a side angle via WhatsApp. Side-angle shots reveal depth and surface distortion. Mentioning the vehicle's make, model, and color helps us provide clearer initial information. We always reply to WhatsApp messages. If you are looking for the paintless method, let us know as well so we can clarify upfront whether it fits our scope.
Why is delaying dent repair risky?
A dent with cracked paint is an open door for moisture and salt. In Antalya's humid climate, rust develops quickly beneath the sheet metal, turning a minor repair into a major job. If damage is recent, the metal reshapes more easily; over time, corrosion and paint loss complicate the work. That is why you should not put off fixing a dent.
Why does dent repair turnaround time vary?
A minor door dent can be completed in 1–3 days; however, the time depends on the paint curing stages, whether the panel requires disassembly, and color formulation. If there are multiple dents or panel replacement is required, the duration extends. We can estimate the time from photos, but the exact duration is confirmed after an assessment.
When should you visit our workshop?
- If there is a dent on the panel and the paint is cracked
- If there is a sharp crease or an indentation where the metal is stretched
- If the dent distorted panel gaps following damage
- If you are unsure whether the damage requires painted or paintless repair
Send a photo of the damage, and we will provide an initial quote and turnaround time. Assessment at the workshop is free.
